The sign says “Cheap Shopping Center” although it was a former synagogue. This building typifies the spiritual state of many people in the Czech Republic. Most people do not have any religious beliefs. They do not show interest in spiritual matters despite their history of Christianity going back to Jan Hus in the 15th century and the Moravians in the 18th century.
This summer we taught at an English camp and used this opportunity to share the gospel with many there. One way we shared was to teach about famous Christians including David Livingstone, Corrie Ten Boom, William Wilberforce and the Moravians. How humbling to think that long ago the Moravians left the same area of the world to spread the gospel in America and now we were from America sharing in Moravia!
Please pray with us:
- For those that heard the gospel as we follow up with them and continue to get to know them better. Ask that they would come to faith in Christ.
- That the people of the Czech Republic would return to the faith of their ancestors.
