Super Summer leadership has made the difficult decision to cancel all six weeks of camp this year.

The announcement came Tuesday, May 19, on the Super Summer Facebook page:

Like all of you and your ministries, we have continued to monitor the COVID-19 virus and strive to follow the recommendations of the CDC, as well as our state and local authorities.

After careful consideration and prayer, leaders from Super Summer, Webster Conference Center and KNCSB have made the difficult decision to cancel all weeks of Super Summer 2020.

The nature of Super Summer makes it nearly impossible to adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines put into place by our government. Super Summer includes large group gatherings, shared sleeping rooms and many other close contact activities.

In addition, with churches attending from locations across our two states, it would be extremely difficult to ensure the wellness and/or monitor the health conditions of every camper in attendance.

While the decision to cancel camp disappoints and saddens us all, we have to trust that God has a plan and He is able to work in ways far greater than we can imagine.

In the days ahead we will be working to provide digital resources to enable your church group to conduct a virtual Super Summer. We will make you aware of these resources as they become available.
