“No Matter What, He is Good!” (based on Hebrews 13:8) will be the theme of the KNCSB Shine retreat for teen girls.

It will be held Friday night, Nov. 5, and Saturday, Nov. 6, at Webster Conference Center, Salina, Kan.

Carly Wingerson will be the guest musician. She is a wife, mother and musician from Topeka, Kan. She follows her passion for singing and leading worship that she developed while participating in Christian Challenge at Washburn University in Topeka.

In 2011 Ocielia Gibson Sprowl became the first woman from the state of Texas to be crowned Miss Black USA. Her experience as Miss Black USA led her to write her first book, “More Than Pretty,” published by LifeWay Christian Resources.
