Nearly 40 parents of international workers attended the International Parents Fellowship meeting Aug. 5-6.

Nathan and Erika Sapp from K-State Christian Challenge led worship. Two International Mission Board units with ties to Kansas shared about their ministries.

Larry and Sharon Pumpelly from the International Mission Board reminded us that our kids go to the nations because of a call from God and the lostness around the world. And God is faithful to keep them and provide for us. We can trust our faithful God.

They also shared with us the expectations on our overseas families as they take their stateside assignments or furloughs.

Charlie Robinson, Sabetha, Kan., challenged us to be faithful, available and teachable with our overseas families in order to maintain healthy family relationships. He also shared how to pray scripture over their lives.

But the best part was just being with other parents that totally understand, encourage and support each other as we send our kids and grandkids to the nations.

Special thanks go to:

  •  Western Hills Church, Topeka
  • First Southern Baptist Church, Topeka
  •  NorthRidge Church, Sabetha

These churches provided a place to meet and help with meals, goodie bags and prayer support.
