New DVD studies in the Lending Library are:

  • “Discerning the Voice of God (Updated)” by Priscilla Shirer

This study consists of seven video sessions of 35-45 minutes each.

A decade ago Priscilla Shirer authored “Discerning the Will of God.” Since then God has continued to grow, teach and challenge her in her walk with Him. This revised-and-expanded edition reflects that growth through new stories, illustrations, exercises and teaching videos.

  • “No Other Gods” by Kelly Minter

Includes one Bible study book and two DVDs with eight sessions approximately 30 minutes each

Often idols are obvious — money, power and fame. But subtler idols can sometimes take the form of sweet loved ones, interiors worthy of Instagram and busy seasons of ministry.

But if your heart is prioritizing any of those pursuits before God, they are taking up space meant for Him alone.

  • “God of Creation” by Jen Wilkin

Includes one Bible study book and two DVDs with 10 sessions (30-40 minutes each)

The opening lines and chapters of Genesis teach us fundamental truths about God. We watch Him bring light after darkness, order after chaos, and rest after toil — all through the power of His Word.

During 10 sessions of verse-by-verse study, dive into the first 11 chapters of Genesis by following three critical stages of understanding — comprehension, interpretation and application.

Revisit familiar stories and historical figures, challenge your basic knowledge and discover deeper meanings in the text.

  • “Act Like Men” by James MacDonald

Includes one Bible study book, one DVD with six sessions (5-18 minutes each)

In many ways, our culture paints an unsavory and unseemly picture of manhood. The standard for how a man acts and conducts himself continues to be lowered. While some might see men’s roles as insignificant, God tells a different story. God says that men matter and He has appointed them to lead.

In this study, Pastor James MacDonald will challenge you to take hold of your God-given role. He will urge you to live out Paul’s instruction in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14: “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”

  • “Make Your Move” by Lynn Cowell

Includes a Bible study book and one DVD with six sessions

This DVD study explores how confidence-in-question keeps us from boldly experiencing what God intends for our lives. Dive into six stories in the Bible of not-so-well-known women who found themselves needing confidence to make their move and how they uncovered the faith to get it. Lynn encourages women to leave behind all the insecurity this world induces and find confidence in God alone.

  • “A Woman Overwhelmed” by Hayley DiMarco

Includes leader’s guide, a Bible study workbook and one DVD with six sessions (approximately 20- to 26 minutes each)

As women, we often are overwhelmed by the demands and circumstances of life, resulting in stress, fear, worry, impatience, fatigue, frustration, and even depression. The truth is that we were created to be overwhelmed — not by life but by God! When we learn to be overwhelmed by God, the fruit in our lives goes from rotten to fragrant — filling our days with peace, hope, love and joy.
