Here is an announcement from KNCSB Executive Director Bob Mills:

“I am pleased to announce that Dr. John Shields has been elected by the KNCSB Executive Committee to fill the role of Town and Country Church Health Consultant.

“John [assumed] this part-time role on May 15, 2018. He will focus on western and central Nebraska. Dr. Shields will continue to serve as teaching pastor for Parkview Baptist Church, Lexington, Neb.

“He is uniquely qualified to serve in this part-time position based on his experience, education and character. I am thankful to God for John’s life and ministry.”

Shields, his wife, Julie, and their family came to Lexington in 1995.

He was born in Kansas and grew up in Sarasota, Fla.

Shields earned an undergraduate degree from Florida Southern College. This led to graduate work in Philadelphia, Dallas Theological Seminary and finally a doctorate from Midwestern Seminary in Kansas City.
